 | From Mike Griffin on May 17: Hi to you from Annapolis, MD. Just to say hello and that I'm so far safe and sound. A note to the Sunday Morning Guys...Drove first 3000 miles at 70 MPH average. Not too bad for an old duffer. Car running sweet and strong. See them in about three weeks...Lots of stories.

Insurance Requirements for anyone organizing a Regional event
You need to get insurance for every moving car event organized by the Region. Please forward to me the date, time, start and finish locations. Also get the correct names of any persons or company whose property may be involved in the event. If it's a tour, breakfast run, evening drive, autocross, rally or what ever, then provide me a brief description of where the event starts, where it's going and where it finishes.
There is a insurance requirement for all participants to sign a waiver prior to starting the event. Pads of waiver forms are available from the insurance chair. After the event is over the waiver forms must be returned to the insurance chair because they have to be kept for two years in case there is a late claim we don't know about.
The sooner you get the information regarding your event to the insurance chair the better. The policy for the event will be ordered and you will be provided with a copy of the policy. Check with any property owners if they need a copy of the insurance and one will be sent to them. For more information contact Ernie Kowal 477-8914

Several members and friends of VIR meet for coffee early on Sunday mornings. We started at Starbuck's but moved to Francelli's Coffee 4444 West Saanich Road, Victoria, in the Royal Oak Shopping Centre, due to our increasing numbers! This is a good time to make new friends and show off our cars. Come and join us! Cars Enthusiasts

 | On an overcast Sunday, 26 members and spouses ventured up to Arbutus Ridge Golf Club for what is becoming an annual Trek for a pre-Valentines Brunch. We enjoyed fabulous food from a selection of tables of seafoods (including Alaskan King Crab legs!), salads, desserts and fruits & juices as well as fresh waffles, custom omelettes, roasts of ham and beef, bacon, sausages and Eggs Bennies. The Club provided a couple of roses to each of the ladies attending and there was lots of time to chat and mingle with everyone. A few hardy souls even brought out their Porsches! An enjoyable time was had by all.
