Radio Code
By Jack Beaton

I purchased my car in the US and when my battery went dead of course I lost the radio code for my CDR 220. I called Beverly Hills Porsche to see if I could get the code from them and they suggested that any authorized dealer (Speedway) could do this for me. I called Speedway and was told that I would have to bring in my 2002 Boxster and they would have to remove the radio to find the serial number. This sounded odd, so I did some more research and found that this was not true. I called them again to inquire about alternative methods and was again told that I would have to bring the car in to their sevice shop and they could hook it up to the computer to find the serial number. Once again I thought, hmm..... So, after a little research I found out that I can use the radio itself to find the serial number. All you have to do, is hold down the TP button for ten seconds and the display will say "Becker 1" once this is visible you simply rotate the right button twice clockwise and magically there on the display is your radio serial number!

I called Speedway with the number and then received my correct radio code free of charge.
